CLASSES AND SMALL GROUPS

  • ALPHA

    THURSDAY EVENINGS

What is Alpha?  Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, run over ten weeks.  But at its heart, Alpha is a time for food, a talk and good conversation.

Food has a way of bringing people together. It’s no different at Alpha. We start with food, because it’s a great way to encourage community and get to know each other.

Next, we share a talk exploring a big issue around faith and unpacking the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith?

Finally, and probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything. And there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

Everyone is welcome.  Learn more.

  • GOLF’S SACRED JOURNEY

    A STUDY FOR MEN

Rick Hammel hadn’t played golf for over a decade when a little book called “Golf’s Sacred Journey” caught his eye, and he started reading it. By the time he finished, he had more than a new interest in the game—his faith in Christ had been renewed, and his life along with it.

Now, Rick’s passion is to share the book and its lessons with others. Enriching for golfers and non-golfers alike, this February 4-week men’s study will transform not only your golf game, but your priorities and life.

Come meet Rick at the upstairs fireplace loft between services (10:15 AM) on Sunday, January 28, and the group will choose the dates and times of the sessions together.  Learn more.

  • WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

    WEDNESDAY MORNINGS

This women’s study group convenes for two sessions a year to dig into one of Beth Moore’s popular video-based Bible studies.  This winter, the study is Jesus, the One and Only, a careful examination of the life of Christ based primarily on the Book of Luke.  You’ll see Jesus raise the dead at a funeral, confront conniving religious leaders, teach on a hillside, and even walk on the waves.  Get to know an intimate Savior through this close-up and personal portrait of the life of Jesus the Messiah.
