Each Sunday we get one chance to share about God’s BIG ideas. But we know one hour a week just isn’t enough! That’s why we believe that what happens at HOME is more important than what happens at church. As your biggest fan and strongest supporter, we will partner with you in this great adventure called parenting.

WELCOME FIRST-TIME GUESTS!

Please stop by one of the three check-in stations before going into worship. We use an electronic check-in system with name tags for safety and to alert teachers to any allergies or special needs.

Children start in worship with their families, then are dismissed to KP Kids for age and stage appropriate learning. Kaw Prairie offers Nursery through Preschool (3 year olds) care for the entire service if you prefer. All ages are welcome in worship as we praise God, pray, and take Communion together each week.

All staff and volunteers have submitted to a background checked and receive annual training on Kaw Prairie’s Child Protection Policy.

Our prayer is that every child who participates in KP Kids will begin to grow, know, and believe in three basics truths based on Luke 2:52 . . .

Nursery – is for non-walkers and early walkers (birth through approximately 18 months) and is available for the whole service.

Toddlers – for children 19 months to 3 years. Children who turn 3 during the school year will remain in this class until in August. This class is available for the whole service.

Preschool – the 3 years olds (by September 1) is action-packed and developed specifically for the early Bible learner. Children must be potty-trained. This class is full-service or children may join after Communion.

PreK – is for 4 and 5 year olds. This class begins after Communion. Kids learn the basics of faith through hands-on learning. We promote students based on their school age in August.

KP Kids Elementary – all elementary age students meet in the Gathering Place on the lower level to experience God’s Word through drama, video, inventive story-telling, humor, and music in a large group environment. A monthly virtue (Life Word), like friendship, faith, courage, or joy is also taught to help bring home the Bible learnings.

Kids then break into small groups based on grade for peer  interaction, life application, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles based on the Life Word and lesson of the day. K/1st are picked up in the Gathering Place and 2nd-5th grades are picked up on the 2nd floor.
