WHAT TO EXPECT

A CHURCH FOR EVERYONE
We believe the church should be a community where everyone is invited. Regardless of who you are, where you are from, or what you have done in your life, you will be welcomed and loved the moment you walk in the door.

CONNECTING TO SOMETHING BIGGER
At Kaw Prairie, our community is made up of stories of the hundreds of people who attend, but our collective story is also part of something much bigger. We are passionate about helping people get connected to one another.

A TIMELESS COMMUNITY
While Kaw Prairie has a casual environment, we are also committed to a sacred space for people to connect with God. This is why we offer Communion to everyone each Sunday.

MUSIC AT KAW PRAIRIE

Like many Christians before us, we worship using the language of our culture — melodies, rhythms, and beats of songs you might hear on the radio. A majority of the music at Kaw Prairie is contemporary. We sing songs by artist like Hillsong, Hillsong United, Bethel Music, Rend Collective, David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, and many others.

Of course, because of our connection to the Lutheran and Presbyterian churches (and our love of history), you may hear an occasional hymn thrown into the mix!

Whether you are a long-time Christ follower or you are new to the faith, our hope is that the music you experience at Kaw Prairie will help lead you to a place where you can experience God’s love.

WHAT ABOUT KIDS?

Children start in worship with their families, then are dismissed to KP Kids for age- and stage-appropriate learning. We offer nursery through preschool (3 year olds) care for the entire service if you prefer. But all ages are welcome in worship as we praise God, pray together, and take Communion each week.

Please stop by one of the three check-in stations before going into worship. We use an electronic check-in system with name tags for safety and to alert teachers to any allergies or special needs.
