Collect Items for Giving the Basics

From April 2-April 9, we will be collecting items to donate to Giving the Basics Dignity Drive. Through their efforts, Giving the Basics provides over 250,000 people with basic hygiene and personal care products every month. In order to make that happen, they rely on community donations and volunteers. We are going to do our part by collecting items most needed by their patrons.

You can drop-off the following items at Kaw Prairie. Our open hours are M-Th from 9am-12pm and Sundays from 9am-11:30am.

While new, full-size items are appreciated, Giving the Basics also collects unused travel/hotel sized products. Below are some examples of items needed:

  • Deodorant

  • Laundry Detergent

  • Toilet Paper

  • Toothpaste, Toothbrushes & Dental Floss

  • Shampoo & Conditioner

  • Lotion

  • Feminine Hygiene

  • Cleaning Products

  • Trash Bags
