The world is full of cliches… and so is the church. There are things we say over and over again. But should we? What if they are wrong, contain bad theology, or prevent us from growing in our faith? What if they drive God crazy? In this series, we take a look at four over-used phrases in Christianity — God helps those who help themselves, everything happens for a reason, God won't give you more than you can handle, and love the sinner, hate the sin — and break down why they might not be as helpful as they sound.
