Lent and Holy Week at KP - Full to the Brim
The origins of Lent were that one was to leave their old life behind to fast and prepare to be baptized into a new way of living. In essence, this was a practice of stepping away from corrupt power, scarcity mentality, and empty rituals in order to live a more expansive and full life of faith. And so, our Lenten theme, Full to the Brim, is an invitation—into a radically different Lent, into a full life. It’s an invitation to be authentically who you are, to counter scarcity and injustice at every turn, to pour out even more grace wherever it is needed. When we allow ourselves to be filled to the brim with God’s lavish love, that love spills over. It reaches beyond ourselves; like water, it rushes and flows, touching everything in its path.
Full to the Brim reminds us to live fully—as we pursue justice and hope, or express grief and gratitude. And so, this Lent, let us trust—fully—that we belong to God. Let us increase our capacity to receive and give grace. Let us discover the expansive life God dreams for us.We have special worship events during Lent. At Kaw Prairie, we are ready for those warm rays of sunshine and the joyous sound of children and students enjoying our summer camp and trip opportunities! Click on the graphic for more info about all our summer family ministry faith formation events.
New this summer is a PreK-only Vacation Bible School! We are excited to offer this summer favorite to our group of little ones. Also new is an additional Day Camp option in July, hosted at Hollis Retreat Center.
Sign up early so you don't miss out! Many of these camps will fill up. Payments aren't due until closer to the camp dates, but signing up early also helps with our planning.
Join us as we bring on the sun and the fun all the while experiencing and learning about Jesus, growing in that love, and serving others. We are excited to have you join us!

Parents Day Out
Mondays (9:30-11:30am) • Each Monday, we offer two hours of free childcare. Two hours for you to run errands, meet a friend for coffee, get work done, hit the gym - whatever you want! We provide a safe, fun environment for your kiddo to have a great time and meet new friends. Donations appreciated!
Weekdays at KP
Midweek (10am-12pm) • Need so get some wiggles out? Looking for engaging, social programming for your preschooler? Join us for weekly stories, crafts, and open play on Wednesdays. Select Thursdays we offer fun pop-up events or open plan! Click HERE for the current calendar.
MS & HS Afterwords at KP
Sundays (11:15am-1pm) • Middle and high school students (and friends) - come hang out with us after worship on Sundays! Play games, learn some things, make friends, and connect with old ones!
Peaceful Stretch
Fridays (4-5pm) • Free community class taught by a certified yoga instructor. This relaxing class will help alleviate stress, focus your mind, and help reset you after a busy week.
Confirmation (8th grade)
Sundays (11:15am-1pm) • Step deeper into the Bible and and grow your faith in this year-long program, culminating in a profession of faith at Confirmation Sunday in the spring.
Coffee With Clare
Sunday (11-11:30am) • On the first Sunday of the month, Pastor Clare invites anyone newer to KP who is interested in learning more to join her in the cafe after worship!
Caregiver Support Group
First Tuesdays (10-11:30am) • Once a month, we provide space for caregivers to come together with their shared experience, their struggles and triumphs, and offer support for each other. Contact Pastor Clare for more information and how you can get connected to this new KP community.
Meal Prep & Serve
First Sundays (4:30-630pm) • On the first Sunday of the month, join KPer Julia Heimsoth to prep and serve a meal at the Womens Center. Sign-up to help with this unique and impactful volunteer opportunity.
Women’s Bible Study
Wednesdays (10am) at KP • Join other ladies for engaging, thoughtful studies, ranging from 4-6 weeks, throughout the year. Click the graphic for more details about this small group.

Saturdays (8am) • Join this relaxed group of faithful men, discussing how Christian principles apply to the everyday situations. (plus breakfast & coffee!) No registration!
Men’s Firepit Group
First Wednesdays (8:30pm) • Relaxed. Comfortable. Connect and grow relationships with each other and Christ. It’s BYOB (we know you know what we mean).
